sadly, not a bug. Samsung planned this change, thinking it was an improvement to make our camera look like iPhones. Samsung losing their way and future customers with this move imo.

Thank you for letting us know. Anyone who has actually used their phone in real life would quickly see the benefit of this feature being brought back. Try taking pictures of your kids playing and then something happens where you want to record, switching to the video mode is painfully slow in comparison.

It's really sad. I searched this and saw comments from Samsung one UI feedback about this same issue back in late 2018 during preview. Samsung didn't address it then and just rolled it out...
