Chewbacca: That is not true. The update to Pie is scheduled for many of Galaxy J series (J2 to J7) with notable lower powered hardware than A5 2017 has. Galaxy A6 is scheduled for update as well. A6 has equal RAM of 3GB & 32Gb but 1/3 weaker CPU than A5 2017 has. A5 was released at the time when Android 7 Nougat was already on all other phones I knew at the time but I was wondered why A5 2017 is listed with Andropoid 6 in specs. As Samsung promised 2 major updates for A5 2017 I can see from where the wind blows now :-))) . Anyway my A5 2017 was already shipped with Android 8 Oreo & I expect update to Android 9 Pie.
