She kept thowing up that it's out of warranty, its 3 years old, a tv should last longer than that! I pointed out that many have this issue and that its a manufacturing fault but she just kept going back to warranty. I gave her the 6 years EU directive....still no luck. I asked Samsung if it's a known issue and was given the run around. They can't confirm that this is a known issue...... And how do I find out if it is a known issue.....I pay an engineer who who will confirm or more than likely tell me it isn't then they will fix my tv.....for a price! We have just noticed a purple patch top left of the screen, our Samsung tv is just 3 years old. From what I read here Samsung or the retailer will not want to know so it's a case of buying a new TV if it gets worse. We will never ever buy another Samsung product. ... View more
