Hi   Was the phone supplied by your network or was it purchased directly from Samsung.    This can affect how fast an update will arrive.    If network supplied then you'll need to check with them I'd they have signed off the nougat firmware for your phone and I'd it's been sent back to Samsung authorising for it to be pushed out.    Either way firmware updates are typically sent out in waves connected to your CSC and serial number.    Best practice is to keep checking in your software update section in your phone settings.  ... Hi @Bades1978 I removed my Samsung Account and Google Account amongst other Accounts before Factory Resetting it before passing it into the buyer. What I'm wanting to accomplish is to keep using the same Samsung Account but none of the back ups I made via the s7 edge.... So I would like to Re key in my Samsung Account into the s8, and not use any old back ups , delete them if possible. And then use my new s8 and start fresh back ups to the s8. Most of my knowledge is with iOS and iPhones in regards to backing up. With them you can use a Back Up in a new phone and all your preference settings, apps etc will download into the new iPhone but with those sometimes quite a lot of trash / unwanted gunk comes along with them. ... Hi, If your countries Network supports video calling and your Tariff and Account is set up for the service and your Network Signal and Data strengths are adequate to run it then please double check everything relevant in your phones settings. Hi, Which Desktop Fast charger are you using ? If it's last years 2016 model then it's been noted on other forums that this can pose an issue with the s8+. Personally I was wondering if the charging coil in the s8+ is further up the phone so not connecting with the charger correctly. Some have said turning off the live wallpaper has helped. If your using the 2017 official Desktop charger then I'd be thinking of going back to source to swap it out. I assume just using the charging cord only charges it ok ? If your using a 3rd party Desktop charger then it could be incompatible with the s8. I've watched a YouTube review of that case and the reviewer does say his s8+ with case on charges fine on the 2016 & 2017 samsung official Desktop charger. ... View more

It's distressing when a phone fails for whatever reason. I appreciate your sending videos of the issue your experiencing but I suspect the engineer needs to experience the issues themselves. Which in your case sounds to be intermittent. One possible solution is if you have a Samsung Repair Centre where your able to sit with the engineer and show what your experiencing. ... View more

Carphone Warehouse is a good source but it's worth noting the Software build version they supply tend to get updates slower. The phones are unlocked and Unbranded however. I bought my s7 edge from the Samsung Experience Store which was run actually by Carphone Warehouse which I wasn't aware of. It received updates pretty slow. Thank you @Bades1978 Hope your well. Good to hear your enjoying your s8+ This time round I'm going to choose the smaller s8 version. From what I've read thus far owners of the smaller s8 variant are getting around approximately 14 hours between charges. I agree it's a subjective topic but it gives me a rough idea. Getting through a day is fine with me. With my s7 edge it'll easily give me over 2 days but I always topped it up anyway,and my phone is powered down overnight. I like you tend not to throttle the phones features. Why have a flagship phone with lots of useful features to then restrict it. However I do use Dark Themes, do not use Wifi as my network data allowance easily covers me and have strong signal. I don't really game on it or listen to music. (iPod Nano for that) I use mine predominantly for internet and YouTube. I'd heard that the smaller s8 could have a more reflective screen near the curved edges but I'm not seeing this on my s7 edge which is a smaller screen still and has deeper edges if thst makes sense As I say I've used the display models but they don't have the typical gunk we all collate ourselves so was wondering what it's like in real life. You using the exynos version too ? I'm in the opinion that a phone is best optimised to use the firmware it was originally released with so when updating i.e. Marshmallow to Nougat it can have slight performance snags. I fear due to the curved edges people will encounter the same issues as with the s7 edge which is the phone I'm using and gave up on them especially if a case is being used.    8 months into using it and no scratches.    Ill be doing the the same with my s8.  ... View more
