I would say HR is fine although some days a bit intermitant and other days perect. Step counter isnt the best. I use to test it against my phone and always around 2000 steps different. When i tested the phone it does over count including counting steps when shaken. I do think the watch undercounts and doesnt count anything when pushing a pushchair or shopping trolley. Very frustrating situation

The people that have had exchange watches and now say they are better what are they testing against? For me before i got the watch i used my phone for step tracking. Got the watch and it is always 2000 steps lower. In fact i did 13000 steps registered on my phone but watch was only showing 10000 so 3000 different. Now it could be the phone has always over counted and my watch is accurate? Short of counting my steps my self all day how could i know?

My issue was never heart rate monitor. Since update and taking advise regards wearing watch further from wrist it has improved the HR monitor. However my issue is steps and this has not improved. Turned off all exercixe except walking but still lagging 2000 steps behind my watch. Is this software or hardware?

It is frustrating. Ive had samsung phones all of my smartphone life. Didnt want to be on the apple profit band wagon. The watch however has made me weary of samsungs customer service and back up. Smart watches are relativly new though compared to phones and maybe i got on too soon. Love my galaxy s8. Only average score for watch so far

Ive decided to not be hung up on the step counter. I really dont thing an exchange would be any different and i bought it as a smart watch not a fitness tracker. The latest software update made no diffrrence but maybe in the future a major update may improve things. In the meantime i will enjoy my Galaxy Smart Watch

Early days. Seems more responsive even around the house. However just done school run pushing the pushchair and only logged 50 steps where as it would be a lot more in real terms ie 500 to 1000. May be samsung are releasing little updates to tweak until people are happy as dont want to be over respinsive?

The frustrating thing is samsung wont admit the fault and wont uodate software to rectify the issues. I love my watch but the step counter is very disapointing. Come on samsung admit the fault and sort it out

Had my watch on since 8am this morning. Battery still on 71% but i have fully loaded mine with always on, constant HR and stress. Quite a lot of notifications. I charge it up every night so not too worried but reckon id get another day out of it without a charge. Still cant get around the ***** step counter though!

My watch lags by 2000 steps a day behind my phone. When i push a pushchair or shopping trolley i get no reading. After many error reports samsung have said my watch could be faulty. Im gonna get mine changed and see if it is different and if not just enjoy the other features and hope one day samsung resolve it with software updates

What i dont get is why so many people say the gear s3 is good at step count. Why has samsung got it so wrong on the latest watch? Looks like classic case of if it aint broke dont fix but samsung tried to fix it!

Argos have got some coming next week but i bet by the time i get there they'll have gone. Its all confusing some say its software samsung tell me its hardware. Samsung also said its only a small amount with issues compared to the amount sold.

Rang samsung support this morning. They told me that it sounds like my hardware is faulty regards the step counter and it should register every step. Argos are getting some more next week so as long as i dont miss this new stock im going to get mine exchanged to see. If its still the same then lets see if software updates are the answer. Has anybody who has had this problem received an exchange yet and found it to work ok?

Had watch 2 weeks now. The 6 hour graph stops showing info and arrow never moves even though pressure has.
Had latest update. Uninstalled re installed and no different.
Anybody else had issues?

The graph didnt show anything after a day and the arrow was just a line and never showed a change in pressure. However yesterdays update seems to have sorted it. And when you look on here and twitter there are lots of people with the step counter issue. Maybe a lot of others havent took to social media to complain but just returned or exchanged the item. But as there is no stock an exchange would be difficult

App updates made no difference. Watch needs an update. Theyve updated the barometer app which has ironed out the bugs with that but surely the step counter is the most important as it appears on most watch faces?!
