My issue with the watch I pre-ordered was the steps. It recorded some steps but wasn't accurate then it stopped recording them altogether.  The replacement has recorded steps accurately. The worst issue regarding steps is that sometimes the is a slight delay then the figure catches up. However, when it catches up the figure is accurate. @GaryBrett @lisafox16 Hi  Below is my screenshot, this was before the software update. I can honestly say the watch that was sent back to me has been working perfectly. It records all steps. The only issue I had was user error. It didn't track my speed on the ride. It was user error, I didn't switch the location on. I wouldn't risk waiting. I would exchange while you can without arguements.  I sent mine back, I had a bit of drama, Samsung customer services didn't have their finest hour.  They didn't know when I was going to get my watch, when I told them to give me my money back, miraculously a watch was sent. Anyway, the replacement watch works well. It counts steps there is a slight delay sometimes but nothing major. The steps are accurate, the heart monitor works fine. I get 3-4 days out of the battery (I have the 46mm watch) The watch now does what it should do.  It may be a software issue, it may be a hardware issue or it may be both. I would return it and ensure you get one that works. Once the 28days runs out you may have hassle trying to get an exchange or money back. I suspect that there is a dodgy batch of watches that went out and Samsung are trying their hardest to resolve the issue without officially acknowledging it. Thats what i was expecting. I have now just recieved an email stating that they will exchange my wifes S8 LED cover!  I brought that march and it works fine. For me this situation is turning into a farce. Im expecting a call back tomorrow, if they don’t confirm a date for the replacement within 2 days i want my money back and I’ll get something else. One positive is that the lady I spoke to said that the issue has been recognised but they haven't been given an update in when or how it would be fixed. Im still waiting for my replacement. I have just had a distrubing chat. My watch was collected Friday , I was told my replacement would be here within 3 days of collection. I havent heard anything re my replacement. The lady i spoke to said she needed to check they received it and organise the replacement. I spoke to customer services too. I said that there are a lot of people suffering with the same issue. The chap I spoke to said that Samsung hasn't recognised this as an issue otherwise he would have been given a briefing on how to respond. Instead they have arranged and exchange. I was tempted to ask for my money back and get either the LG watch or Huawei watch but I must admit I like the design,battery life and quality of the Galaxy Watch.
