Hi all,
Model: UE32F550AKXXU
Latest firmware 2127.
I have a few prehistoric non-anamorphic DVDs: they are encoded with a 4:3 image which contains a 16:9 letterboxed picture.
As the output is 4:3 , the TV reads it as such and displays a 4:3 pillarboxed image. I understand that this effect is called windowboxing becaue I get both the TV's pillarboxing and the original image's letterboxing.
20 years ago I owned a Panasonic TV that had a "Zoom" function which filled the screen with the 16:9 information within the 4:3 image. It's hard to believe, but I can't find any such function on my Samsung TV.
Is anyone able to tell me please how I can get my TV to display these DVDs in full screen?
Many thanks.
