My sky tv WiFi transmitter has been replaced ever since then I cannot connect my samsung smart tv to my new router. I know I have good WiFi Internet reception because I'm connected to my WiFi to send this message to you. My tv is in exactly the same place it was with my old router. I constantly get the automatic ip setup failed on tv screen I've followed on the instructions. To be honest I'll never purchase a samsung tv or smart phone again. Nothing but stress from both. I know I have a decent WiFi signal because my amazon echo is showing 5 bars of signal on the WiFi strength maybe its just cheap samsung stuff

If your Samsung TV's automatic IP setup fails, you can try these steps:
Check your router: Ensure the DHCP server is enabled on your router, and that all cables are well connected. You can also try unplugging and replugging your router.
Check your TV's settings: Go to Settings, then Network, then Network Status, then IP Settings. Make sure the Get Automatically option is selected. You can also try manually entering an IP address.
Reset your TV's network: Go to Settings, then All Settings, then Connection, then Network, then Reset Network.
Update your TV's firmware: You can try updating your TV's firmware.
Contact your internet service provider: You can try contacting your internet service provider for help.
Other things that can cause IP configuration failure include:
A poor Wi-Fi signal
An encryption technique that doesn't work correctly on your device
Enabled MAC filtering

Sorry to hear of your issues.
That said, I ALWAYS use ethernet to connect my Sky Stream box to my (LG) television and it works flawlessly.
Reduces the congestion for WiFi too.

If you wish to sort out the wifi (rather than Ethernet at the moment)) other Ideas include the following:
switching off Tv for a minute, a soft Reset (pressing and holding power button on Smart Remote for around 5 seconds until Tv restarts ) and rebooting router(best to unplug from mains for at least 30 seconds before reconnecting ) Another possible solution is to change the DNS settings. Go to Network-Network Settings-DNS Settings. Change from Automatic to to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. (Google servers) or 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220 (Open DNS).
