Hi @ChrisRudd , think better to go with the m9000 or m9500 which seem good quality UHD Blu Rays with HDR support , the k 8500 is a 2016 model. Personal preference would be the 9500, the most recent model. However there may well be an issue with stock in some places and not so long ago Samsung announced that they would not be making any more Blu Ray players https://www.whathifi.com/news/samsung-confirms-its-ending-blu-ray-player-production When I checked samsung from my location I found stores in the area such as Argos, Richer Sounds and Currys (not available online)
upon checking can only see the K8500 on any of the main online sites and that is only at Amazon from a 3rd party store https://www.amazon.co.uk/k8500 offer ,may be 2nd hand offers elsewhere but can be a risk. Hopefully 9000 or 9500 would be available in a store near you as that would be better option.
