Volume control on silver remote with QE65Q95TATXXU will hold and go up to max!!

Love the TV but have issues with volume controls with the silver remote. If I press and hold volume up for more that 1/2 a second and let go it will continue to go up until it reaches max!!

I also have a harmony remote and its doing the same.

This system is connected via a optical cable to my Yamaha receiver. Can't understand why this happens. Same if I press volume down. Looks like I have to do this in increments. Surely this can't be right?

Can anyone help?

Having same issue with same model tv with my external Bose system. 

Had no issues for first 3 months of ownership. Suddenly Keeps happening. Only option to fix is turn off tv and take batteries out of remote.
