Hi folks,

I'm new to voice assistants etc so trying to work out how do I turn on the voice wake up feature (also knows as handsfree feature) where I don't have to press the physical button on the remote..

Few queries:
1- Does the TV have the voice wake up / hands free feature
2- If not, do I need to add a device such as Amazon Echo / Google nest etc?

Please advise

Hi @Scotcruz  I know the Voice wake up  is available on QLED models from 2019 onwards ,do not think it is available on the Au9000 though.  However the voice Assistants are built in and you would be able to use Alexa via the Microphone on the Remote. it is necessary to go through the set up,scan the QR code and sign in to your Amazon account.  see further details here https://www.samsung.com/Voice Assistants

@Scotcruz  You could try adjusting the settings, not sure it will  work but no harm in giving it a try.   If you go to Alexa Settings, select General, and then select Voice. From there see if you can enable Voice  wake up.

UPDATE: Turns out AU9000 series doesn't have the "Wakeup feature" i.e. you have to press and hold the mic button on smart remote to use voice assistants.

The smart remote is useless as it won't (yet) connect to Sky Q so all in all the built in voice assistants on the tv are pretty pointless and just a gimmick.
