Voice Assistant on QLED TV... Hears me but ignores me :)

I have a QN94A TV but expect the voice control SW is the same for many:

I hold the voice button on the remote and say "BBC News"
TV replies with "tuning to BBC News", but then actually does nothing.

I hold the voice button on the remote and say "Open Disney app"
TV replies with "Opening Disney app", but then actually does nothing.

Am I supposed to the say "yes do that" or something? 😁

Or, I chose Alexa as the voice assistant, is the Google assistant more reliable?

Same issue with my brand new Samsung TV.  Alexa can turn the volume up and down and mute/ unmute (so know its working and setup right), but despite repeating my instruction for anything else does nothing.

Hi, have registered Alexa with Amazon but still no luck.

As with the other Poster, Volume up/down. and mute on/off can be voice controlled. But changing TV channel or opening any app, Alexa says "opening" but then does nothing still?

If Alexa won’t turn on your Samsung Smart TV, chances are it hasn’t been integrated into the SmartThings App. You will need to connect both devices via their apps and enable SmartThings skills. If everything’s in order with your Smart Things app and it still wont connect, wifi may be the problem

Hi. I have the smart things app on my iPhone already too. Wifi is correctly setup, I can use all streaming apps as normal.

As mentioned, Alexa CAN adjust volume and it DOES reply to my commands with an "opening Disney" message, so I know it understands my command.

But then the TV doesn't actually do the thing it says it is doing!

Exactly the same problem with my new tv - 700B 2002. Has anyone raised it with Samsung ?
