So the last few nights I thought my Sky Q satellite box was going nuts, fan hum, I then remembered from my music streamer if I connected a USB for ripped music, the streamer would always be doing something and the USB was RED HOT.
A quick check on my One Box, USB was RED HOT, unplugged hum noise and fan nearly gone.
Moral if you don't need the USB connected, remove it and it is obviously constantly reading it, using power.
