Well, he's annoyed. These things sometimes happen. I updated a 65" QN95B and I was lucky that the package I got was 1503.8 and it was the correct one. Next time I'll take it easy. Get it fixed or get a new one... with that you won't Having problems with Samsung. Good luck.

My tv updated by itself to 1504 and compared to 1020 I had before now the image is horrific. There are no more blacks but grey, lifted grey, fixed clouds of dirty grey, an absolute nightmare. And the auto update tick was NOT on.
I am very upset at the moment, the TV is only a couple of months old, I used to be so happy with it, but now terribly disappointed

I have the exact same problem!!! i have the QN85B all started when i updated to 1503.9 It messed up my tv! bought it on May 2023. only one month old. Now Samsung offered to change the motherboard!!! TO A BRAND NEW TV! that is unacceptable!! I dont care if they manage to fix it in the end. the whole process and because they did not even offered to replace the tv i am not going to buy another samsung product for life! and i will definitely tell others about this and show them pictures of my tv! I will upgrade to a C3 when everything is done! really disappointed1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg

Oh yes, that is the problem indeed!

A pity because I am actually a Samsung products fan, I loved other products and the QN90B from them has been by far the most impressive and impactful Samsung product I have bought. But now it all turns to be such a bitter experience. I feel cheated, like a fool, and terribly disappointed that the best alternative to an OLED TV is actually way worse than it was supposed to be.

I have another TV, the LG C7 OLED - that has had big burn in issues, with the panel replaced after 4 years. I am trying to go away from OLED for a while. But Samsung does not seem to be the way to go I'm afraid. Actually I still hope they can fix it in a way or another.

I liked the original image so much that I watched the whole Amazon Series The Expanse on the QN90B not on the other OLED tv I had. It was that good!

I do hope that Samsung fixes my TV! Just to go back to how it was, stay like that forever, and I am happy for many years to come.

Seeing other people having the same issue was another confirmation that I was sane. Samsung initially stated that everything was in order.

A Samsung operator said that they could not see any issue. Maybe it was my photos. Which were made with a Samsung S22 Ultra. That stopped them from speculating any longer.

What a fail to have one firmware update break the image so much. Shocked

They even took a video from my iphone to chack the screen and indeed saw the problem. But their policy not changing the product with a new one is not acceptable by me. Although i dont know if it is fixable. They might have to send another tv if it is not fix. I believe the update created a hardware issue. I can see the backlight in some corners. And also all the fix clouds on screen…i do not believe is fixable.

It sounds a bit strange to me that a software problem would instantly request a hardware replacement. It should not be the case. Just a hard reset done manually by the engineer with a usb firmware version installed manually by him.

That is how I see it.

But hey, the issue itself is so bad that it can be anything.

Let's keep in touch here with what Samsung does. They also promised to come back to me within 72 hrs with a specialist. We shall see.

I am still shocked how come a simple firmware update AUTOMATICALLY DONE BY SAMSUNG has broken their image so much!

i am also shocked with the results of the firmware -Terrible! They should have tested it before going online. anw....They need to change the motherboard as it cannot downgrade. once the motherboard is updated nothing can be done. nobody can do anything once you update the firmware. unfortunately. very dissapointed with samsung
