Unsolicited Ad on smart TV

Dear Samsung.

why are you showing Ad’s on my Smart TV without my consent? I didn’t agree to this in the privacy settings but I keep on getting this Ad’s! Why? 

 

Stop it! I need it stopped NOW! It’s getting very aggressive every month. Not even Microsoft windows does this without opening a web page! You are not allowed to do this. I can use the TV however I like, stop throwing AD’s on my face every time I navigate on the home bar! This includes any Samsung related products.

I’ve seen similar post elsewhere, and you didn’t offer a solution! I will not stop here. I need a specialist to contact me and remove this AD’s. It’s illegal and it’s pervasive, ugly and annoying.

Thanks but I’ve already done that - which is why I’m so angry.  I’ve already paid them for the TV - why are they invading my privacy - find another way to make money. As I said, I will not stop here, I will take them to court if I have to. They must respect the local law.

Take a legal action! If you can email your local Samsung SEO and send them a warning. There is no mention of advertising on any of their brand new boxes

I agree but it’s easy to change just go to home icon on your bottom toolbar main menu then privacy choices then terms & conditions privacy policy and untick interest based advertisements and save. When you go back to main menu adds will be gone from bottom toolbar

I did exactly what you recommended. It made no difference. The advert is still there. Very annoying.

I understand my friend. I have the same issue with the ads, someone can't send you an email without your content, put flyer in your mailbox, etc, you have an option to stop all of that but why we can't stop this invasion of privacy!! I am asking everyone to please contact your local Government and find out if this is legal. I might understand if it's in the app store when you go in there but NOT a part of the menu! I AM VERY ANGRY ABOUT THIS, they should us a option to disable, these marketing policies they have even if you don't select them you still get the ad. I contacted the Office of the President and they are calling it "generic ads" and they say you can't disable it. They are not listening to their customer but you know what I am telling everyone about this and only when it hurt their pockets only then they will do something.
