UK TV Channels

Hi,

I have a UE50TU7020 Smart 4K Ultra HD TV but cannot get any UK channels - eg. BBC1.

It is aerial connected and I have gone through the broadcast and autotune options.  It says it finds 100+ channels but it it seems only to be the samsung tv plus channels no terrestial.

Any help appreciated.

Does this tv support freeview - if so how do I find it?

Hi TracyE, does your TV aerial give a freeview signal to another TV? Or have you tried another aeriel on this TV, as this may be the reason why?

Your TV definitely supports Freeview HD and should pick up channels. Try this guide as well

UE50TU8000KXXU Samsung, and just got rid of Sky, thought it would be easy to add an indoor aerial.  I cant seem to get it to register the aerial.  Why cant i get freeview?  What are my options?

A few other suggestions which have not been covered.  Check if there are any problems with Freeview in your area https://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/problems-freeview-reception/#/Freeview  Some customers have found that scanning after removing the aerial and then reinserting provides a solution when channels are missing and your manual tune may be accessible. In other words scan with the aerial removed when obviously no channels will be found, however this can reset the connection. You would then need to scan with the aerial connected again and see if this makes a difference.

Aerial works fine with another tv.  I just keep getting the annoying Samsung TVplus channels.  All I want is a bit of bbc without having to go to iplayer.

Where did you get TV from? From the UK?

I'm having the same issue my older Samsung TV connects to freeview via digital (no aerial needed) so brought q newer Samsung TV for bedroom (as aerial signal is poor) but cannot seem to get it on this TV very dissapointing as brought this TV specifically for that function
