Why is the menu option to change the aspect ratio from full screen to 4:3 greyed out ?

@Artemis81: This is likely to be due to the format of the content/channel that you are viewing at the time, as 4:3 is typically only available on older SD content. Can you confirm if you're experiencing a stretched image as a result of content that should be in 4:3 showing full screen? The user manual does states that the 4:3 mode is not available when an external device is connected to the TV via a Component connector or an HDMI connector, so this is something to consider if you have an external device such as a set top box connected to the TV.

That would explain why the VHS tapes I’m playing through a component to HDMI adapter from an old video machine are distorted, but the 4:3 option is never available regardless of the source. I am specifically referring to 70s dramas on the ITV hub app that were created in the old format.
