UE55MU6670 screen issue

Hello,

We bought a UE55MU6670 curved TV last Christmas, it has performed perfectly until last night. 

On the left of the screen we have a 50mm wide strip from the top to the bottom, it is a blur of the colours that are being shown on the rear of the screen.

I have checked for updates and done a self diagnosis, both to no avail. 

Does anyone one have any ideas before I take it back?

First thing report any defects to your retailer as soon as possible. Do not wait for these forums or Samsung support to give you an answer as that could take weeks if not months. Get it logged and let them deal with it.
