Yesterday I started to experience this really bad problem with the YouTube app. It starts up fine and I can browse videos alright, but trying to launch any video results in a black screen containing some video controls but not playing the video. I can return back to youtube menu using the back button normally. Resetting the smarthub restores the ability to watch videos, but only temporally - turning my TV on after some time, I encounter the same issue.

Could we take the current software version your TV is currently running on? Go to Home > Settings > Support > Contact Samsung.

Thanks for that. The software version is up to date. It may be worth trying a full reset of the TV by going to Home > Settings > Support > Self diagnosis > Reset. Just be aware that all settings will revert back to the factory settings the TV came with, therefore it might be worth monitoring the TV for a day or so first before trying this.
