 we picked a perfectly fine UE48H6400AKXXU  for pretty much  questions is on apps , software, it's   great TV with wonderful picture,  

Is there a way to add apps not  listed    for this  year of TV ,  or is  not supported, 

Last firmware was 2900

Hi @Gaynor65 This model is a  2014 Tv and you have the latest firmware which was updated November 2019.  You can add other apps not pre installed via the search function though there will some limitations with this model. Some of the apps generally available. https://www.samsung.com/uk/tvs/smart-tv/apps/  However  for  instance Apple Tv , Disney Plus  and Britbox will not be supported.   Netflix and Amazon Prime  should still work.  Within the App section there are categories for Video, Music/Video , Sport and so on.
