Tv shows usb content as 0mb. tv model LE40A656A1FXXU

I've plugged in both my external HDD and the tv just shows them as 0mb/0mb even thought they have files and are 2gb of space each.

It may be due to the format of the external HDD. Try changing the format of it, but first ensure you move your files to a safe location before doing so. Hope this helps! 😁
