TV remote no longer controlling audio/optical output

I have Samsung Q7F tv which is connected to a JVC amplifier by the optical outlet. When I initially set the audio “audio out/optical”, the tv remote automatically controlled the volume of the JVC amplifier. A few days ago the the tv had suddenly defaulted to the TV’s own speaker instead and when I select the  “audio out/optical” option I can no longer control the volume with the tv remote.

Any ideas what has happened or how I can fix this?

Looks like Anynet+ was turned off somehow.

Thanks for the reply - I have checked and the Anynet + is on and turning it off and on again has not fixed the issue.
