Just looking for some thoughts from the forum on what might be wrong with our TV.
Have tried Samsung chat but no-one is there to respond.
Telly is over 10 years old but has worked well until now. The other day, turned on at plug in the morning. Standby light showing as normal. Pressed remote control to select channel and then 'Pop'! (noise)
Picture and sound gone. Burning smell. Power still going to telly.
Have obviously disconnected and removed power supply. Power cable itself is fine as we have an identical telly which works fine and the power works on that. So probably the 'tube'???
Anyone got experience of something similar who can advise on what is wrong, what to do and whether it is worth a repair ?
