TV LE32 Sound absent

After removing the headphone jack from the TV socket, sound failed to revert to the TV internal speakers.  When using the remote's volume control the screen shows the volume setting with a picture of headphones, indicating (to me) that the built in switch might have failed.  I've used a switch cleaner solvent a couple of times without success.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Steve.

Have you tried putting the headphones back in and then removing to see if that solves?

Thank you, I had tried that without success.  I then left small speakers plugged in for a week and have just unplugged them to find the TVs internal speakers working again! I appreciate your help.
