I connect my soundbar up to my tv through an optical cable, but the tv registers this as the tv speakers.
When I go to settings and choose optical cable under sound I get no sound from the soundbar at all.
Changing the source on the soundbar gives me an error message on the tv, saying it can’t find external speakers.
Anyone able to help with this? I want to be able to control the soundbar through the tv remote but can’t do it because the tv doesn’t register it as using the optical cable even though it is connected that way.
