I have recently bought this TV from samsung direct and it is basically not useable in a dark room, i have a samsung engineer from a service center they use coming to look at it, do you think its fixable ?

@AndyQ: Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. I'd wait and see what the engineer says following the inspection to see what repair options are available. In the meantime, please head to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test to check the hardware, and see if any 'Failed' messages show in the summary, as this will be helpful to the engineer when diagnosing any potential faults.
