Time shift on bu8000 50 inch

Just bought a bu8000 50 inch tv, can't record or do timeshift, Does this tv support timeshift in the first place?

just wondering if you found an answer? I've just got the same model. It will read files on the USB disk but trying timeshift gives me "Not Available"

I wrote the question on amazon and Samsung replied that this model does not support recoding nor timeshift

Yup, I have had a chat with support... no joy. 
I've suggested Samsung update the e-manual to reflect the model and the make sure the specs are listed on their web site.

Not sure why it supports HDDs attached to the TV now!? Seems a pointless feature now.
