After we back from holiday day before yesterday, we started TV and it worked fine. But after half day of usage, suddenly TV started rebooting itself and screen going on/off but no picture. Simply white screen. Sound is fine. As per my analysis, this issue started could be due to auto firmware upgerad which was released on 14th Aug. Since we were on holiday so this upgrade didn't go automatically on the day it was released. As soon as we back from holiday, it might have gone in and broke TV. I tried calling samsung customer and explain situation. But they are saying it is out of warranty. TV is no more than 1.5 years old and sudden stopped working. I appreciate if samsung organized some to fix TV.

That's not what we like to hear, @hemkit777! Just because the TV is out of warranty, doesn't mean to say we can't offer support with this issue. Did our Support Team run through any troubleshooting steps with you?

Hi Chris,

thanks for your reply . I called and they told me to perform standard troubleshooting steps and we performed and didn’t help. I called Samsung service centre and they immediately stated your screen gone and need new screen and they quoted me £1500 which is equivalent to brand new TV cost 😞 .. I have LG tv 2015 4K and if still working with same screen quality. I have 2010 Sony TV and it is still working. Power supply unit or power supply capacitor gone is fine and that happened due to subbed high voltage but screen gone itself in less than 2 years Tv means Samsung screen quality is not great. There are so many people got replacement Tv for such model as their screen gone in less than 6 months. Anyway after escalating matter, I got solution from Samsung to repair it. So thanks to Samsung for understanding pain and organising free repair of Tv. Now my concern is about how long it will last 😞

Thanks for keeping us updated, @hemkit777. The issue that you described with your TV is definitely not what we'd expect. It's great to read that you had a positive result with the repair, and the engineer will help ensure that your TV is returned to its original specification (and functioning as brilliantly as we'd anticipate).
