Hello there.

When playing TV shows from USB.

I cant play with the subtitles.

And when i go to settings

The subtitle (CC) option is set on off and its greyed out.

So i cant change it.

How can i solve this? 157346691245390325133809127426.jpg

Hi @Muhallabr. Can you tell me the model number of your TV? Are the subtitles embedded or on a separate file?

Hey there,

The model is RU7400 65"

In this instance it is embedded in the video file.

But as you can see from the screen shot, seems like the setting in the TV is off for subtitles and i cant change it.

I tried plugging off the tv and when i turned it back on,  for a few moments the subtitle option was not grey.. Then it turned gray again 😞

Thanks for that! Is your TV running on the latest software version? You can check this by heading to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software update > Udpate now. Also, does it happen with each video file or only a few? What happens when you watch something on a channel?

U checked for updates.. Its updated

It happened for all the videos i tried.. They all have embedded subtitles.. Not a seperate srt file,  i did not try with srt

Our channels do not have CC

With netflix it works fine like normal.

This is a major issue since i download a lot of movies or tv shows n i use usb to watch them on the tv.

All other tvs work easily with the subtitles

I really hopw i can get an answer

Can you tell me which format are these on? If you play these files in a different device, are you able to use the subtitle option?

These are  .mkv

Yes on my sony it works,  and ob my old samsung i used to play it all the time.. Even in other tv models.

Here it seems that its from the TV software/system..

If you check the previous pictures.. I am not able to change the subtitle option from the TV system.. Even not in relation to what video i am playing

Hi do you manage to solve the issue?

I have the Subtitle On by the way.

I stream my Movie from my desktop, and store the .srt file in the same folder.

I can't get it work.
