Hi all, after some help.
I had an older Samsung TV with a HDMI arc port which I plugged my old Yamaha YSP2200 soundbar and most of the time the Soundbar would turn on and off with the TV.
I’ve now bought a Samsung AU9000 and plugged the same Soundbar into the eArc port but it doesn’t turn on and off with the TV. The sound settings are set so the sound output is the Receiver(HDMI)
I have the Satellite (Sky TV) plugged into the soundbar along with a Chromecast and if I turn the soundbar in using a remote it will change the input from Sky to the Chromecast for no reason so you change that back on the remote.
The soundbar does not have WiFi.
any ideas please?
thanks.

Thanks, I’ve already done that though.

Hey @deej6780 ,
If your soundbar and Samsung TV are connected by an optical cable, Auto Power Link will turn your soundbar on automatically when you turn on the TV.
If you have the soundbar connected with an HDMI cable to the Samsung TV, Anynet+ will turn the soundbar on automatically. No need to reach for the soundbar remote every time you want to watch TV. Find more about this here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062384/

This is a bot reply and doesn’t help me. As stated it’s already connected to the HDMI arc port and settings configured on the TV.
