I have a Samsung LED40 flatscreen TV, in the past I used Smartview2 to connect my windows 10 pc to said TV with no problems, recently I've had a hard drive failure and had to reinstal windows, now it seems Smartview2 is no longer available, instead its just Smartview, only problem is, it cannot see my TV, both are connected to the same network but the program says, No TV Found. My pc uses Avast Security suite, I've checked my firewall, it shows Smartview and allowed connections for both in and out

I installed the program onto my Sony Erricson Xperia Z mobile and lo and behold, it connected immediately.

Does anyone have an answer or Is there anywhere that I can get Smartview2? tried googling for that version but cant find a source.

I have since found out that this issue is being caused by Avast, specifically there  Premier product. Despite Smartview having every permission needed within Avast, the firewall still blocks it. the only way it can work is for Avasts firewall to be turned off.

I have now contacted Avasts support and await there reply
