Smart TV remote no longer working as universal

Remote control for tv was set up as a universal remote, controlling TV, Samsung sound bar, Virgin Tivo box and Sony DVD. 

After about a month, it would only control TV.

I have tried uninstalling all other devices and reinstalling, then tried to set up universal remote, but it failed to find all other devices.

Any one else had same problem?

Try buying a new remote same model as you bought the tv then try using it as a Universal Remote
