Hi,

I have the Samsung Smart TV - UE40MU6470.

I have been trying to get freeview / channels but the tv does not pick anything up except for 4 trailer channels. I brought this aerial as recommend by the sales advisor in PC World (see pic). I have tried every type of tuning on the list and have good freeview coverage in my area (south-east London). I have nothing else connected to the TV, just the aerial. Please could someone recommend what to do, or how I can get channels as I’ve now had this tv for 10 months and still no channels! Has anyone else had the same problem but fixed it?

Thanks!

Hi @Laurapuodz, ensure all channels are enabled in the Brodcasting Settings.  You can check you have the latest firmware  for your model , there was a fairly recent update  https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE40MU6470UXXU/  have you tried both Auto and Manual Tuning, guide to Manual Tuning here :    if does not work you could try a factory reset.

If issue still persists after all troubleshooting tips I would suggest you check these freeview guide  https://www.freeview.co.uk/app/uploads/2013/03/FREEVIEW_Value_Aerials.pdf   https://www.which.co.uk/reviews/indoor-aerials/article/how-to-set-up-an-indoor-aerial

Hey!

My TV is up to date and I have tried to manually/auto tune and it is still not picking any channels up except the 5 for the TV PlusX. Is there any recommended settings I can apply? As I do not know what to enter for the manual tuning. Is there any specific reason this could be happening?

thanks.

Sounds broke. Report to your retailer as a fault.  Get an exchange for various telly that works.

There is a guide for freeview manual tuning  http://www.bbc.co.uk/receptionsearch    Click on your Transmitter, More Info and then Quick tips which shall give you  the numbers you require.   However if a problem you could obviously seek redress from retailer.

Make sure you report this to your retailers as a possible fault. It could be the tuner faulty. Especially if it is new,  and before the 4 weeks up.

I have a curved Samsung TV. It’s up to date with all software. When I used to live at my old house, all the channels worked fine. Now we have moved house it won’t tune. We know it’s not a fault of the Ariel as it’s been checked, tried the telly somewhere else and it’s working we aren’t sure what’s going on. Looked on here and gone to check the ‘broadcasting’ and it won’t let me on it. How can I get normal telly back? Help?
