Smart remote problems-voice button

I have a smart remote for an S95B oled. When pressing the voice recognition button, it says they’re no device connected. Yet the volume will work. Sometimes the remote will disconnect. Then I would have to unplug the tv. What could cause this issue and how could it be fixed?

Try re-pairing the smart remote. Mine is done like this

press and hold the Return and Play/Pause buttons simultaneously for at least 3 seconds. Tv will then showing a pop up on top of screen saying its pairing

Tried that. Says unable to connect. No device detected.

Try holding the power button on the remote until you see the Samsung logo come up (it will turn off 1st) rather than unplug - wait a min or two after reboot and try again. Outside of this I've never had to do anything else. Hopefully somebody else will have a solution if this doesn't work
