Hi,

I have Samsung ue55hu8200 TV, just upgraded to Sky Q UHD, however when trying to watch UHD program keep getting error UH011, "this input on your TV doesn't support UHD".

I've turned on UHD on port 1,2 and 4 but no luck, have watched 4K DVD on the same TV with no issue.

Could it be the TV is too old to support 4K on Sky Q or something else, any help would be really appreciated it.

Hi @Shazad the UH011 error  suggests  that UHD does not work with this input.   you have a 2014 model and I know that for these models only one port is HDCP 2.2 (digital copy protection) compatible. It is the  one that is labelled  MHL  and it is usually no3 according to this article but varies by model.  https://www.samsung.com//support/troubleshooting/TSG01110917/ Hopefully you can identify the correct one,are you able to turn on UHD colour on port 3 and presumably you have checked the others previously. Latest software from December 2019 is 1310.0 https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE55HU8200LXXN/  When setting the picture resolution try  Settings- Setup- Audio Visual- picture Resolution on Q Box.  Ensure 2160p is selected , if so move back to HD and select 2160p again and find it for me.   10 bit will provide the best picture but 8 bit should still work.  see some Q guidance here https://www.increasebroadbandspeed.co.uk/setting-up-sky-q-for-ultra-hd  can you try a different HDMI cable if the correct port is being used and still an issue.

Hi James, thank you so much for your advice, it started to work with port 3 however only in 8 bit and not 10, the software is version 1310. Thanks again. Shazad

Hi @Shazad  Your Tv will not support earc  as that is fairly recent technology though should still work via the arc port. HDMI CEC should be turned on via Settings-General-External Device Manager. if still issue disconnect HDMI  cable and any other  external device, unplug Tv for a few minutes and then reconnect and try again.

see some information here, imagine generation 2 https://www.sonos.com/support/en-us/sonos-user-guide/index.html#t=sonos-user-guide%2Fbeamgen2%2Fbeam...

Hi James, thank you for your advice again it's connected and working, I've also ordered a eARC adapter from Amazon PureTools eARC Audio Adapter, Splitter and Extractor - Extracts Dolby Atmos TrueHD DTS-HD from HDMI 2.1 eARC Devices to Older Audio/Video Receiver https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09CTB8VJJ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_EGQKM0C1VDQAQK1WEYDV which should help upgrade the sound to eARC.

@Shazad  Glad it is working now, hopefully the adapter will enhance it.  However think there  be limitations.

see here ,though not same adapter https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-228993/hdfury-arcana-earc-adaptor-things-you-should-know...  adapter https://en.community.sonos.com/home-theater-228993/hdfury-arcana-earc-adaptor-things-you-should-know...

I have exactly the same issue paying for UHD but it won’t on my 2014 Samsung TV. I have confirmed that HDMI 3 is MHL but unlike 1,2 and 4 number 3 HDMI UHD Color in settings is greyed out and won’t let me change it. Could it be the HDMI cable? Although the cable was sold as 4K and has a 4K label on it.
