@sanddancer63 you have not mentioned the model . However I would advise that you disconnect from mains for around 5 minutes and possibly may need a Factory Reset. If still issues see guide for some troubleshooting, you will need to try the Automatic scan again. https://www.samsung.com/scanning Channels, Some customers have found that scanning after removing the aerial and then reinserting provides a solution when channels are missing and your manual tune may be accessible. In other words scan with the aerial removed when obviously no channels will be found, however this can reset the connection. You would then need to scan with the aerial connected again and see if this makes a difference. other option is to try a Manual scan as shown here https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/manual-retune
See further information in this thread https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tv/cannot-access-basic-freeview-channels-on-smart-tv
If turns out issues continue with BT Box check software is up to date,Box may also need a reset.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Thanks, after nearly 2 hrs it finally all loaded up, still cannot watch tv through ariel just in case bt box freezes. Currently can’t seem to get happy tv pic settings, ie: contrast colour etc. what levels would you recommend, I like to watch live sport and it’s often blurred maybe due to different broadcasters. It’s a QN90 55’ thank you
