series 5 LAN socket connection

My Samsung 32" smart TV is connected  to the internet via it's internal Wi-Fi connection.

can I use the TV's LAN socket to daisy-chain another internet enabled device to the internet or will the 'other' device have to be hard wired directly to the hub ?

will attempting this ( if unsuccessful), cause  damage to either the TV or Blu-ray player?

I can find no info on this subject in either of the manuals.

Hi @oldpete, thanks for reaching out about the connectivity on your TV. You won't be able to connect multiple Internet connections on your TV at once. Attempting this won't affect your products as the second Network won't connect until you go through your Network settings, which will disconnect the TV from your first Network. Hope this helps!
