Screen mirroring new PIN needed?

Hi all,

Ive recently tried to screen mirror from my Huawei p30 and it always worked instantly with no PIN needed, just devices attaching easily.

Now the TV screen comes up with "enter PIN on device" but I have nowhere on the phone to enter a PIN? 

I've tried downloading various casting apps with no success either?

Stumped!

Can anyone help? 🙏

To screen mirror, you need Smart THings installed on your phone.

Is this a new thing? Just tried it and doesn't work with all brands... Just so annoying as it worked fine before and never needed an app for the two devices to attach?

I have no idea. I researched streaming using a P30 and Chromecast and Smart Things came up as options.

Well thanks for looking and trying to help. I don't have Chromecast so not sure why I need all this extra stuff all of a sudden. Pain in the backside! Lol
