Samsung TV won’t pair with LG soundbar

I have a Samsung QE55Q70RATXXU and an LG SK4D soundbar, the TV is continuously failing to pair with the soundbar. My phone connects to the soundbar without issues so I can only presume the TV is the problem. The soundbar shows up on the Bluetooth speaker device list when I search, but when I try to pair them it fails. The speaker is definitely in pairing mode as the light is flashing and it will let my phone connect to it (I've also made sure my phone is unpaired before trying to pair the soundbar to the TV

Have you tried resetting the soundbar? Try that hard reset the Bluetooth bar then only pair it with your samsung TV 📺

So far as I can see there’s no hard reset option for the soundbar, but there is a pairing lock that you can enable/disable. It doesn't indicate whether it's locked or unlocked but I've tried pairing and then using that option a few times to make sure I'm trying it with it unlocked but still no joy
