Hi all,

Very dissapointed in my curved samsung screenUE40JU6740.  It's developed a black line right down the centre of the screen.  Started with a thin line, wenty away and then came back with a vengance and grown so about half a cm now.

My original Panasonic plasma about 13 years old still runs fine, my kids budget Seiki about same age as this runs fine.  In fact every TV I have had has been perfect.  Yet the Samsung which I bought based on quality appears to be a faulty.  And reading I see there are quite a few with this issue.

Anyone else have this and resolved the issue?  Is it pixels dying or a part faulty.  Replaced the tcon board and exact same problem persists.

Thanks in advance,

Hello,
Did you call at the service ?? I had something like you and you can't fix it. Go with your TV at the nearest Costumer Service they will fix it for you .Don't waste your time with hitting or shaking the TV or anithing you saw on youtube,is not working. In my case they changed all the display.

@Ragnor: If you go to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test, does the issue persist? Similarly, does the line show up on all channels and sources? If so then please contact our Help Desk on 0333 000 0333, and an member of the AV Team will be able to look at your existing warranty options. Apologies for any inconvenience this might cause you.

Curved samsung screen55 inch has  developed a black line right down the centre of the screen.  only 4 years old disgrace as this is an ongoing problem with these TVs after a period time. Samsung are well aware of the problem but do not take any responsibly.  loads of comments but know help from Samsung. upgraded to the curved tv 4 years ago my other flat screen Samsung 8 years old going strong no issues. its the curved will not be purchasing another one. always go for Samsung products however after will be hesitant.  as  i contacted Samsung with this fault as it is common and was told to contact a local dealer and given a telephone number. Samsung need to recall these tv's. I am going to contact bbc watchdog about this to get the word out about these tvs and the common fault that Samsung will not deal with.
