My Samsung TV (UE49MU6179) just automatically updated to firmware 1270. This update seems to include changes to the Tizen browser, since I'm no longer able to watch livestreams on Twitch.tv.
This worked perfectly fine before this update so this is a regression and I would appreciate a quick fix.
I am having the same issues with all streaming services apart from vimeo.
Also youtube.com from internet browser is now showing "not supported".
I am currently using v1270.3, not upgrading it via usb.
Yeah same happened to me. Tizen browser is extremely worthless. I did everything to resolve the issue but nothing seems to work. And strangely enough, Samsung is not doing anything about it. My Samsung smart tv (UA43MU7000) is very limited in function and app store is so poor.
I do have the same issue... It started 18 months ago.
My TV UA65JU7500 cannot be used to watch videos or live stream using the internet browser Tizen. I already called the support twice. The first time, they made me do a complete factory reset then I got stuck in middle of the update and support told me a specialist would call me in 24 hours... I managed to reinstall everything by myself and had to download all apps and put back all settings again. Of course, it did not fix my problem!!
After 6 months, I was annoyed with the situation and called again. I wanted to know if there was any way I could use or install another browser on the TV. After 30 mins, they told me "no, sorry for the inconvenience but you can only use Tizen".
How is it even possible for such a big brand like Samsung to completely ignore that issue that many people are experiencing? Just typing "tizen issues samsung tv" on internet and a long list of blogs appears. How come Samsung do not care enough to propose a fix? I did not buy a TV just to use it with my apple tv... I should definitely be able to watch my favorite stream on the browser. I have a 10y old Sony TV (yes!) on which I can watch my programs on their browser. This is ridiculous!
Please Samsung, have a bit consideration for your customers...
