Samsung remote - controlling other Samsung Monitors !!!

An old pain point for me but I managed it at home is I have my Samsung TV and Samsung Monitor in different parts of a very large open, but the remotes control both TV and Monitor, I assume the IR blaster.

It drives me nuts when I work from my Mums and her, Has anyone found a solution to this, one was to tape over both IR blasters, but just testing by covering it suggests not a solution.

You remote is the smart one (pairable to device), or plain infrared-based?

Smart remotes that are pairable (I assume they work with Bluetooth) blast a signal out, but if you pair them to specific device explicitly, it controls only that particular device.

At least that is how I managed to ensure Smart Projector remote does not mess around with my Tizen-powered TV 🤓

I have Smart and plain same issue, I cannot see any BT pairing option in either TV or Monitor.

Think the problem is exacerbated when linking my Sky TV remote to the TV as powering on and off switches both devices off or on.

Try using IR blaster covers to block signals or program a universal remote to control specific devices, reducing interference between your Samsung TV and Monitor.

Thanks as mentioned I tried blocking the IR it still randomly occurs.

Crazy Samsung can't fix such a simple issue, if anything the more into a Samsung ecosystem you get the more problems.
