Hi all
I have just bought the above TV replacing a 5 year old Sony Bravia.
I have a HK AVR 170 receiver amp which works perfectly with the sony.
I plugged the HDMI cable into the Samsung's HDMI 2 ( arc) but with no joy. on the sound menu all i had was an option of tv sound or optical.
It did give me the option of setting up an " unknown"HDMI input but after spending an hour with it trying to turn off the amp ( and failing) I gave up. all i want to do is play my TV sound through my 5.1 amp. surely it cant be that difficult?
I am reaching out to you before i strip the whole system out and start item by item.
