I’ve noticed when I play HDR content on my Q7 it doesn’t tell me like other TVs. I’m also sure Samsung have altered something here since I can still select picture type and change the configuration by say dimming the backlite. I’m sure it used to overide all this when playing HDR. The TV seems to be able to detect HDR since I can see that if I say go into movie mode and watch HDR it changes some of the settings like local dimming and screen backlite to different values than if I used that mode on non HDR content. Whilst watching HDR the picture reset all is also greyed out. Is this right?
