Samsung One remote no longer controlling FireTV

I have a Samsung MU9000 TV. In the past the TV remote would control the FireTV device. Randomly the TV remote does not recognize the FireTV device. I have noticed that when I attempt to add the FireTV device as a "set top device" in the samsung TV universal remote settings, amazon Fire is not an option. I do have my FireTV device connected through a home theater device, but this was never an issue in the past. Any ideas?

1. Press the home button. At the top of the screen, scroll to the far right & select settings
2. Scroll to select equipment control
3. Scroll to select manage equipment
4. Select TV
5. Select  change tv
6. Follow on-screen instructions.
