Samsung MU9000 one connect box hdmi 2.1 upgrade

HI, 

I have a Samsung Samsung MU9000 curved TV and I was wondering if it has been upgraded to use an hdmi 2.1 cable or if the the one connect box can be upgraded to use an hdmi 2.1 cable.

Hi @Tim9  Unfortunately  as far as I am aware a 2017 set would not be hardware compatible.  Some 2019 models will be elegible for complimentary upgrade of a board in the set’s One Connect Box (installed professionally) to accommodate 8K HFR over HDMI 2.1, Samsung stated a few years ago. would this answer also include the Q7fn - just wondering as i have recently purchased the PS5 and Xbox series x and still love the tv but want to get the most out of them.

@RalaZ0r: I've had a look into this for you, and the Q7FN model does not support HDMI 2.1 (4K @ 120hz) on HDMI port 4.
