Samsung BN59-01179A remote will only control volume on my Onkyo TX-SR506. I have tried repeatedly to set up the STB button so I can control the Onkyo using the Samsung Smart Remote. I have the 2 connected using the optical cable. I can control the volume on the Onkyo with the Samsung remote but when I try to power the Onkyo off using the STB button I get a set up menu talking about using the IR extender (which I already have sitting in front of the Onkyo IR receiver. Any suggestions? The only, or actually the main reason I want to do this is the power button on the remote for the Onkyo is getting harder and harder to power it on and off.
TV Model is UN55HU6840, remote for TV is BN59-01179A, receiver is Onkyo TX-SR506
