I have a samsung smart tv, it's  a year old. All ok. The number buttons on the remote stopped changing channels on the tv. When I press a number the light flashes on the bottom of the tv but it doesn't change channel. All other functions are fine. I changed batteries then bought a replacement remote. Still the tv doesn't seem to pick up when I press numbers
Any ideas?

Might have to factory reset the TV, it sounds like a software issue

Hi @christinasta Remove the Batteries and press the Power Button for 8 seconds , this should Reset the Remote. Reinsert the Batteries and try again.  Seems you are receiving an IR signal, some Advice in the article https://www.samsung.com/my/support/tv-audio-video/samsung-tv-remote-control-is-not-working 

However if no resolution would be best to either switch off the mains for a few minutes or  Factory Reset.
