Remote not working

I have a PS50B530S2WXXU TV and the remote has stopped working in a holiday let. Changed the batteries and the infra red is working (used the smart phone camera test).

It is possible that someone has done something on the TV but I have no idea what! 

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hey @suka47, where was the TV purchased? Have you tried updating the TV? Menu > Settings > Support > Software update > Update now. Also, restart the TV by unplugging it from the main power source and plug it back in again.

Hi,  updated the software, unplugged the tv, etc and still not joy. Bought a new remote still no joy. Went through the unplugging routine, batteries out of the remote, etc. again and it worked. Furthermore, the old remote also works.

Total mystery.
