I have purchased a new Samsung Series 7 tv and discovered that with this series I am able to control the volume of my BT device through the TV rather than the device!
I have a hearing loss and use a streamer (BT receiver) to pick up signals and re-direct them to my hearing *****. The streamer has no volume control capability. Whether I use a separate BT transmitter connected to the TV (via optical cable) or use a BT capable TV (eg 6 series), the volume comes through at only one level, usually too loud.
With this 7 series TV I have discovered that this "external" speaker (my BT streamer) can be controled by the handset. This is a major plus for me, but I am curious how this is possible and whether it can be done with other "older" TVs
